Family has always been central to the Mormon vision of eternal life. As Reform Mormons, we believe that loving, honest, and committed relationships can endure beyond death and may be honored through sacred ceremony.
We also affirm that family takes many forms. Families may be biological or chosen; extended or blended; Queer or non-Queer; monogamous or non-monogamous. What makes a family sacred is not its structure, but the love, respect, accountability, and care shared within it.
Our fourth conference theme is “Family”. Together we will explore the relationships that shape us, the commitments that bind us, and the many ways we create belonging with our loved ones here on earth and in the spirit world.
